Start a Return: Visit our Return Portal to initiate your request.

1. Overview

Distopion accepts return requests made within 30 days of delivery (as shown by carrier tracking, where available), subject to the eligibility requirements below.

Approved returns are refunded to the original payment method, minus any applicable fees and deductions described in this policy.

2. Start a Return

  • Return portal: To start a return, please visit our return portal linked at the top of this page.
  • Need help: If you cannot access the portal, contact us at help@distopion.com and include your order number.
  • Authorization required: Returns must be initiated via the portal and approved before sending your package. Items sent back without authorization may be refused.

3. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In the same condition as received: unworn, unused, and unaltered
  • With original tags attached
  • In original packaging 
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)

For hygiene and safety reasons, items showing signs of wear, washing, odor, stains, damage, or alteration may be refused, or may receive a reduced refund where permitted by law.

4. Non-Returnable Items

Unless required by applicable law, the following items are not eligible for return:

  • Gift cards
  • Final sale / clearance items (where clearly marked as final sale at checkout or on the product page)
  • Items that have been worn, used, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery

5. Refunds & Restocking Fee

  • Refund method: Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method after the item is received and inspected.
  • Restocking / processing fee (2%): A 2% fee is deducted from the returned item(s) value to help cover non-refundable payment processing fees. This applies where permitted by law.

6. Shipping Fees & Return Shipping

  • Outbound shipping: Shipping fees paid at checkout are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • Partial returns: If you return only part of an order, outbound shipping charges (if any) are not refunded, except where required by law.
  • Return shipping: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item) or a confirmed defect/damage, or where required by law.
  • Trackable shipping recommended: We recommend using a trackable service and keeping proof of postage. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.
  • Warehouse acceptance days: Our warehouse accepts parcels on weekdays only (Monday-Friday). Parcels delivered on weekends may not be accepted.

7. Inspection, Approval & Refund Timing

  • Once your return arrives, we inspect it for eligibility and will notify you of approval or rejection.
  • If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method. Banks and card issuers may take additional time to post the refund (often 5-15 business days).
  • If an item is returned in a condition that is not eligible, we may refuse the return and send it back to you (where possible). Shipping costs may apply.

8. Late or Missing Refunds

  • Check your bank account again.
  • Contact your card issuer (processing times vary).
  • Contact your bank (posting can take 5-15 business days).
  • If you've done all of the above and still haven't received your refund, contact us at help@distopion.com.

9. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

  • Report quickly: If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label.
  • Resolution: If confirmed, we will work with you on an appropriate resolution (replacement or refund), depending on stock availability and the specific case.

10. Exchanges

We only offer exchanges for items that are confirmed defective or damaged on arrival. For other cases, please return the item (if eligible) and place a new order.

11. Chargebacks & Disputes

  • If you have an issue with an order, please contact us first so we can help resolve it quickly.
  • If a chargeback or payment dispute is filed, we may provide relevant order and delivery documentation (e.g., order confirmation, tracking, delivery scans/photos where available) to the payment processor in response, while honoring any mandatory consumer rights that apply.

12. EU/EEA/UK Consumer Rights Notice

If you are a consumer in the European Union / EEA (and in many cases the United Kingdom), you may have a statutory right to withdraw from an online/distance purchase within 14 days of delivery, subject to legal exceptions. Where that statutory right applies, we will process refunds in accordance with applicable law.
